The work explores the mechanisms of self-optimization, self-presentation, and personal branding. I developed a “sponsorship wall” that deliberately inverted the usual logic: instead of corporate logos, the wall displayed only my own name in various typographic forms — an exaggerated reference to the idea of the “self as brand,” but also to the self-exploitation often embedded in artistic labor.
Visitors were invited to take photos in front of the wall and thereby become part of this system. The project included three performances, held at Kunsthalle Kiel, Brühler Kunstverein, and Kunstraum b69 in Dresden. Each invited participants to perform in front of the wall, humorously and critically addressing the dynamics of attention, self-staging, and the pressure toward constant optimization.
